FS: 1993 Civic EX 4dr, 5 spd, 195k Mi, $975 - In CT
For Sale in Bristol, CT
Black 1993 Civic EX 4 door 5 speed $975
The car has 195,900 miles on it at the moment.
Gray Interior, sunroof, rear spoiler (OEM style), ABS, etc.
I will be completely honest about the car
The bad: It is rusty over the rear wheels. The car definitely needs an exhaust. It does not sound good. It will not pass emissions in this condition. The manifold is leaking but it may need more than that. There is a water leak in the trunk due to a bad install of an aftermarket rear spoiler. The body is not in the best shape. But it looks good from 20 feet away.
The Good: The tires have approximately 85% tread on them. Everything works. It drives well. It gets good gas mileage. If the exhaust is replaced, it will drive even better and get higher gas mileage. The paint is not in bad condition on most of the car.
In the last year, I have replaced a rear wheel bearing, 4 tires, spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter and 4 speakers. I flushed the radiator using Honda coolant (best coolant ever). I changed the oil every 2500 miles. I also flushed the brake and clutch fluids.
When I first got the car (over a year ago), the transmission was grinding a bit. I have changed the manual transmission fluid about 4 times since and it is MUCH better than before. It never grinds anymore. The clutch was replaced at about 120,000 miles.
I'll say it again, this car needs an exhaust. It sounds horrible. Otherwise, it is a good car.
Sorry for the Treo pics, my digi-cam is dead.

I bought the car the way it is, I haven't put a scratch on it. It does have some damage to the right front fender. I am sure it has been in some kind of collision before. The front bumper was not secured well on the corners when I got the car. I fixed it with some zip ties

I already dropped the price to $975 to sell it faster.
It is still negotiable.
I am also open to trades. I also have a 90 CRX HF (with Si transmission, body parts and seats) and the 95 Accord in my signature.
I prefer a Civic HX, VX or some other high mileage car. Make an offer.
