removing carpet on crx
i need to remove my carpet to clean it. i know i need to remove the seats, center console, ebrake cover and foot rest. but i don't know how to remove the trunk/gas latch and also do i need to remove the store compartment? and do i need to remove the side panels or how does the sides come out in one piece?
Yes you need to remove all of the above. The side panels pop right off but make sure you remove the torque bolts. The trunk/gas thing should have a screw on it. I do see why you dont just steam clean it while its in the car.
i had a leak and had antifreeze all over the passenger area. do the panels on the side just pop off or does the carpet pop out from under it? what are the torque bolts?
ok to the gas tank pop open latch and the truck latch. look on it very carefully take the smallest screwdriver you can posssibly find and look at it there is a plastic cover hidding the screw pop that open and thats how you get it off. and for the gas tank and the truck latch plastic ***** just take that screw driver and pry those off and there you go. I just put carpet back in mine. Carpet Rules!!!

What are you doing to it that warrants you to take the whole thing out? Take the seats and center console off and you should be fine. No need to take all that other stuff out unless you are really just that bored.

It is like a cap, pop the top off and you need a deep wall socket, 10mm I believe.
