noob question?
Im a newbie so dont make fun of me.
ok im only 16 and i just got my first honda. Its a 91 civic 4 door. ok i got some free cheep non name brand coilover for free for my car. when i finish putting on the coilover and when i dropped the car i found out that the car wasn't even dropped???? can someone help me out here?

Don't think I'm getting smart with you or anything man just trying to help.
try adjusting them the other way to where it's compressing the spring should drop the ride hieght.the only other thing I could think of is maybe all of your stock struts are siezed.
LMAO years ago I had a geo storm that that actually happened to the front two struts.

Careful with increasing the preload of your spring too much. I learned this the hard way -- there is a limit to how much you can preload your spring before it ceases to compress further under the car's weight -- any further efforts to compress the spring will actually raise the car.
How many rings are on the coilover? Wonder if your cheap coilover has a third to adjust ride-height alone?
