so y8 is the way to go on the d series i was doing some reserch and some pepole say that there is some wiring mods you have to do on the map sensor in order to fit is this correct?
If your on a budget use the y8, I used one for a while on my built d16a6 (I am going to sell it if your interested IM me). If you have the money get a Skunk2 I just got one and it makes a noticeable difference.
i dont think it matters but if its the same one i was looking at on ebay it was $200-$300 for SOHC and for DOHC motors $500-600ish
*Correction* the $500 thing is for b-series IM/TB package.

says genuine skunk 2 and in some of the auctions the items pictured show the skunk 2 and are on top of the skunk2 box but it IS ebay where somehow you can get tons of "jdm" parts for .99 with $20 shipping... ha.
well i got an obx IM that i have problems with and can't install it cuz the TB doesn't fit quite well and there is no place for this sensor goes on the rear of the stock IM

does anybody know what this sensor does?

88-91 Si throttle bodies have a different bolt pattern than the rest of the D-series t/b's. Just find a 92-00 D-series t/b. You will have to lengthen the wires for the MAP sensor (since its on the t/b). If not, find a 90-91 Integra t/b or a 1st gen B16A t/b as they share the same bolt pattern as the 92-00 D-series t/b's, and you won't need to lengthen your MAP sensor wiring.

i couldn't wait so i went to the shop and disconnect this sensor and you are right no codes and runs normal so i'll be ok with my OBX IM

Thanks</TD></TR></TABLE>
yes.
go for a y8 intake manifold. its the "type r" manifold of the d series motors. then get a b series tb and port match it.
