is the automatic trans the same one offered with the si model? will an auto from a d15b2 bolt up to a d16a6. was the si offered with an auto?

 

Si didn't have automatic, however the Civic EX came with automatic and D16A6 engine - yes, it will bolt up

 

so if I put a d16a6 in my car I could use the ecu from a automatic ex civic?? what year civic? is the ex transmission the same as my 91's auto?

 

Yes, if you put a d16a6 with automatic transmission from the d15b2, i would use the automatic ecu that came out of the ex. I think any year from 88-91 civic ex auto will be good.

What? I would just use the automatic transmission that comes with the d16a6 from the ex sedan.

 

why buy another transmission when you dont need to? its a waste of money
