i have it placed like an intercooler like where the bar goes down that connects the hoodlatch to the frame. its inbetween that and attached to the condencer. I just used the ports all ready on the transmission and connected them to the cooler with the hoses provided with it.

I actually got happy about this but the DC sports website lists the 2.5" collector as a part for the 92-95 lude. Have you heard anything about 5th gens getting this same collector?

ah so you placed it in front of the condenser. where are these ports that you hooked it up to? and did you notice a difference in shifting with teh cooler?

like i hooked it up to the ones that were all ready there. i had to bend one out a little to fit they are right below the distributor beside the block code. They run to the compartment on the bottom of the radiator. My tranny always shifts really hard i run it to the max 7200 or so i use a manual shift boot an **** also. i was loosing hp on the dyno one time like after 20 runs every successor run i would loose about 2 hp each time i figured that would help out a lot.

oh yeah they should do it for the 5th gen 2 i think they caught on by people wanting the bigger collector.

haha thats cool i dont think many people run the jdm h22 with the auto 4th gen its about as good as a 5th gen manual with a shot of nitrous . But any way does a manual transmission have a way to cool thier fluid?

interesting.

i was gonna go get mines modified to make the collector 2.5".

i wouldnt say that they're crap just yet though. Some guy had a greddy header and made it 2.5, put on a high flow cat, and it made almost as much whp as a SMSP header. I think it was like 3-4 whp less then a SMSP.

No, there is no way to cool the manual tranny (at least not that I know of)

no need for that, if you've seen it, back it up with proof.
