torque converter lock up
while cruising on the highway the torque converter continually locks up and unlocks with the slightest of pedal pressure. not the usual pressure required to make a converter unlock. if you push down on the gas just a hair it will lock up and when u let up it unlock, we are talking just the slightest movement of the gas pedal. could it be the torque converter lock up solenoid and if so where is it lockated on the transmision?? Thanks for you help. this is for a 92 accord
I suspect it's more what controls the T/C L/U solenoid rather than the solenoid itself. My reasoning?:
The solenoid will either answer the commands it's given, or it won't work at all. It has no ability to initiate a change, anticipate a command or work by itself.
It will either operate as commanded, or not work at all.
We have to look further upstream. IE: TCM, Cable adjustment, sensor problem or some such thing.

check your t-stat if you haven't to make sure that your engine is reaching proper operating temp if it is, check yout temp sending unit.
