ecu connection question

Default ecu connection question

Hi I have a 00 hatch with a 00 type r mototr.. Right now I'm running a p28 chipped ecu and those of you who knpow...know that I have a extension in order to run that ecu.. All I'm wondering is if I by a 98 p73( 98 type r ecu) do I have too buy a totaly different extension or will the one I have on there work thanks

What year is the p28 out of, do you have an OBD-2b to OBD-1 Converter? or is it a OBD-2b to OBD-2a converter. If you are going to run a 98 p73 ECu with the first set up then you will need to get a new converter. If you are running it with the second setup you should be all good to go.
