Default Getting a flange CNC'd

I'm getting an intake manifold flange CNC'd for a b18c5, I was just wondering if anyone else was interested in getting some. As I'm getting one, it gets cheaper for everyone if others want, which is why I'm asking.

Right now it's looking at $100+shipping per flange made out of 3/8 in 6061 Aluminum, probably take 3 weeks with the holiday season.

It's just a standard flange I made, but I added some grooves around the runner ports to make the runners easier to weld and form a cleaner seal and there's no coolant port. Here's an image of what I'm having made.

Let me know if you're interested, if no one is then I'm just going to have 1 made for myself.

Well good for you, I'm not trying to make money, and my little grooves can't be cut by water port and they do make the runners fit better. I'm sure I could have 1/2" for the same price, I just didn't think it needed to be that thick. It's just a flange, but CNC does produce a nicer look than water jet.

By all means, everyone, buy from this guy then, I was just seeing if anyone wanted one that I was making.

How exactly do the grooves work?

It's just a .065" (16 gage) shelf around each port to hold the runners, nothing too special, but I find that it makes things easier and you could probably do a better job porting it, although I have nothing to back that up.

Could probably buy a $45 one and rig up some kind of router to do the same.

oh, ok, i was looking at the "grooves" on the inside of the port in the picture and trying to figure out what the hell you meant! lol For what it's worth, i'd try to use something a little thicker than .065 for the runners if you can.

I'm sure if I sunk a bunch of money into getting a 100 or so made I could beat that $45 price, but I don't care about make money, I just thought someone else might want this too.

I never had any problems with 16 gage, I stay away from anything too thick because I mold my runners with a piece of steel in a 16 ton bushing press and if you go too thick they just rip.

Weirracing wasn't saying that his flanges are waterjet cut. He said they come with the coolant port.

Just throwing that out there. Chances are you can get this flange made for much less than $100.

Oh yeah, you are right, but the only cars I know of that still use that port is because they drive during the winter.

If you want to direct me to a CNC shop that'll make 1 for me for less I would appreciate it. The more you make the cheaper each unit gets, which is why I was seeing if anyone else wanted one. I don't run a shop, I'm not competing with anyone on here that does, I just didn't like the designs of what I saw was available and like my version better.

No, he offered to sell his own design for less which he probably had made in a huge quantity to keep the price down. Now if he can make one like mine for me for $45, then we'll talk.

Why the hell can't anyone get it through their head that I'm not trying to make any money and was just asking if someone else wanted one? So no one wants one, as I keep saying and I originally state in the first post "Fine, I just thought I'd ask."

all my stuff is cnc cut. i can tailor it to your own personal design if you like. you can email me a cad file if you like. price should be close to the $45 i make them for. i don't mass produce them, i only get a chance to do this stuff once in a while. sorry for being so irritating.
