Question about ARP Head studs and Main studs for a B17
I am now very confused after reading several posts about the head studs and main studs for the buildup I'm trying to complete.
The setup is going to be a PR3 ITR head bolted to the B17 Block.
I understand that the head is the same PR3 head as the original B17. The head studs posted on the ARP website has a set up for both the B18C1 (208-4303) and one for the B16 (208-4601). I am assuming that the B16 (208-4601) is the right application for my build. Being that I am using the B17 block and the PR3 head.
As for the main studs, I run into the same dilema. ARP has a set listed for the B18C1 (208-5403) and a set for the B16 (208-5402). Again, I assume that the B16 (208-5402) is the proper application for the build as the B17 block is being used.
If anyone has some input, moreso fact then opinion, it would be greatly appreciated.

the application you is for the b16. go with the 8mm rod bolts. and g et the head studs for the b16. b16 block and the b17 are exactly the same. the difference are in the internals..

Um, no you want the 9mm rodbolts, stock are more than sufficient. Order the head and main studs for a b16a

the head studs/bolts are different because, since the b18 blocks are taller, the studs sit lower, and so need to be a bit longer.
the 6 center main studs are different for the b18c to accomodate the bearing brace ('girdle').
i'd also go with the 9mm rod bolts.
