I'm looking to getting a short shifter, what is a good one to get?

 

I got the single bend short shifter from evasive motorsports...smooth and feels really good.

 

i got a B&M duak bend with a skunk2 ****... works like an effin charm

 

im looking for one too, but i know everyone is gonna say skunk 2, or b&m. But are there any good cheaper ones out there?

 

Yeah i'm wondering the same thing, do you notice a huge difference when you dont get a top of the line one?

 

IMO if you want a difference it doesn't matter if you get a top of the line or cheapo short shifter, as long as you get some polyurethane bushings you'll be set. i do recommend the BM shifter though, it's not that expensive i got mine from titanmotorsports for about 50, plus bushing came out to about 65. but be warned, the BM is known to rattle, just make sure you throw on a couple of extra o-rings on the bottom of the shifter and you'll be set

I still havent found one that feels any better than a stock B series shifter.

i really think people should try the pacesetter shortshifters...man are they short im talking about crazy short and smooth...simply becasue u can set the pivet ball to any height u want ...got mine for 60 shipped offa ebay

 

I have a skunk 2 single with a skunk 2 weighted shift ****. I also have the energy suspension poly bushings. The best shifter set up ever.

 

i have a dc sports dual bend ss, with energy suspension bushings and a greddy/trust shift ****. it is the ****, and i love it so far.

Although the Skunk2 shifter costs more, it came with that little rotating hinge part thingy at the bottom so you don't have to mess with replacing o-rings and parts from the stock shifter. Definitly helped with the installation process. I found a pretty good deal on Ebay: $126 for shifter+weighted shift ****

 

Ya the skunk 2 shifter has ball bearings instead of rubber bushings.

B&M straight no bend, ebay, $50 shipped.

 

i had fidanza which was junk, way to short of a throw, shifter height was low and the thing hit my exhaust pipe, my 5.99 "jdm" dual bend steel shifter is perfect going on a year, no problems, doesnt hit the exhausts, the throw is nice, height is a little shorter than stock

 

I thought my 8.99 dual bend was cheap!

Good stuff. no problems so far.

me 2, but i dont have the bussings... still a very nice set up.. However when i got mine 2 years ago it was expensive as hell

 

to answer your question, the bushings help the feel of the shifter from soft and mushy to more like clicking into the gears, i noticed the biggest difference with the bushings but thats my opinion

 

got a bootleg B & M duel bend.. made by macin for like 20-30

 

just installed my b&m

 

Stock delsol shifter= awsome.

I think i picked mine up for 15 or 17 dollars from honda.

 

stock del sol but if you want a really short **** height and really short throw TWM!!! got one in my sol and the word to describe it would be WOW.
