my rear view mirror got knocked off, how do i re-attach it. The main part is still attached to the glass. The clip/screw on part came off and I can't get it to stay ... take a look at this picture of my mirror if my descriptions does not explain how it came off

go to autozone. They have a little kit that sticks it to the glass. Its some kind of adhesive - the same thing the manufacturers use. It works really well. Its some kind of glass vial with green **** - you take the green stuff, to clean the back of the mirror. Then put a drop of adhesive on it, and hold it to the glass for an entire minute. It'll stick.


oh wait - nevermind. Is the other part still on the windshield? If so, you need a next key to tighten the screw. There should be a screw on there somewhere. Get a hex set.

 

in mine it's a phillips screw. loosen it a bit and slide the mirror on (motion will go from dash side up towards head-liner. you have to loosen that screw a bit to get it on right. hold it there and tighten the phillips screw.

i explained this about 10 days ago.. just look at it and you coudl figure it out

 

since its already off....just get a broadway mirror. JDM is the best!!
