Does anyone know what the Torque spec for the lower tie bar on the Integra R is ... ... or just tighten??

 

I've been looking for the torque spec on the lower tie bar for the past 15 minutes and I can't find it in Helms! My best guess is to use the torque spec designated for rear trunk body stiffener...

22 Nm or 16lbf.ft

Anyone know where the specs are in Helms' manual?

 

I found two possible answers.I have the 98 Integra service manual so I don't know if the pages will be similar to the Relm manual.

They are two references to rear beam brace so it is a little confusing

On page 17-60 it calls for a torque of 28 lbf-ft
On page 20-169 it calls for a torque of 33 lbf-ft

You should be find with a torque of around 30 lbf-ft

 

Those are actually a completely different beam, if my memory serves me correct. That bean is located in the front clip of the car by the steering rack assembly.

Anyone know the answer to the original question?
