eg = da suspension?
Hey i was wondering if da integra's use the same suspnsion as eg's. I remeber when i order my omni coilovers that the box listed DA and something eles for application.
any help would be appreciated

Although they are of similar design, they are not the same as almost every dimension is different especially when it come to shocks. For a coil-over sleeve system, the spring rates will be in a generally similar ballpark and the upper spring mounts will be about the same. Do long as the bottom of the sleeve sits on stomething stable on the shock, you will probably be fine.
I would say that a semi-generic coil-over kit application that could fit a number of these cars (also EK Civic, DC Integra, etc.) will probably be some of the only parts that would cross over. They may cross, but I wouldn't by any means say they are really the same.

DA's and EF's have similar suspension, because they were built on the same platform. the shocks are "somewhat" interchangeable, but lengths are different. which can be critical, depending on how you want the shock to perform.
EG and DC have just as similar suspension as well.
and in general, ef/da and eg/dc suspensions share the same general double wishbone suspension design with a few opportunities to swap parts.
da=1990-94 integra
dc=1995-2000 integra
ef=1988-91 civic/crx
eg=1992-95 civic

blah, i knew i messed up something.

thats because the control arm is messed up. its the only oddball control arm that has the shock mounting so far outward relatively.
which makes you wonder how a manufacturer can use the same kit for both cars...
btw, heres a good reference for suspension differences as it relates to EFs.

Dur. I clicked close on accident. Now what I was going to say was first of all, Thank you for the quick, informative reply, secondly, I was going to ask another probably stupid question which was, since the DA's suspension is closer to the EF's suspension, and the eg supposedly has a superior suspension (just what I've heard) does this mean the DA has less potential? I'm currently looking into purchasing a DA but I've never really looked into integras before and I don't know much about suspension theory or geometry, but I was just wondering if the DA would suffer from an older design. Thanks much.
