Hey guys, I just dropped in the h22a with a buddy and i have fuel and spark and have the plug wires right. But i dont have to exhaust manifold hooked up to the downpipe yet because the h22a manifold doesnt bolt to my h23 downpipe... My problem is the motor turns over fine and backfires but wont run. Could it be from no back pressure, i thoguth it would atleast run. Any input would be great

If its not the exhaust, does anyone have any suggestions, any sensors?

just wait until you get the correct downpipe.

 

Not having a down pipe on it will NOT prevent it from running correctly....it will just be a lot louder than usual... it would be better to have one on.. but if its not running... you're going to have the same problem after a DP is installed

 

after you tried to start it did you pull the check engine codes to see if you have any?

 

He should have an o2 cel since its not even plugged in, dude just wait till you have everything together, then start your diagnosis.
