Default Has anyone tried Crower stroker kits (especially on a b18b)? *searched*

Im looking into Crower stroker kits for my b18b and before I actually consider getting it I want to know how well it actually works. The b18s have very small strokes, so I was curious as to how much power I will gain by stroking it. Does anyone know about the kits or has installed them? Thanx!

WE are in the process of getting our 2.1 ltr 13:5 to 1 CR tuned right now. The kit to me has really material. Its also uses pistons with the wrist pins moved up so that they can run a longer rod for a better R/S ratio. Its going to be a full track car. Btw I have a crower stroker kit for sale.

my buddy and i have the 92mm stroker kit and sleeved 85mm block...i was gonna put it together for him but he kinda wants to do k20 swap...dtr told me when we had a header built that with a good head and big cams and either itb's or a 70mm tb and good manifold & tuning expect 230-260 all depends on compression bore cams ect....and about 160+ torque

It sounds like it definitely makes some serious ponies, would it be streetable if I went for the 1.9 or 2.0 kit (thats what its displacement size becomes)? I can see the more aggressive kits cant be streetable, but the smaller ones might be ok for street, strip, and track right?

B18c1/5 have an 87.2 mm crank
B16 has around a 77mm crank
B17 has an 81.4 mm crank

it depends on what the car will use for (daily driver , race, exc.) and what rpm u want to make power , if ur wanting more low end power then stroking it to a 90-95 mm is the way to go, but don't expect to make alot of power above 10,000 rpm but then cam selection also affects the way an engine makes power , make sure u select the correct bore and stroke and the correct cam for ur RPM range

I dont expect more than 7k rpm on a b18b anyways (its not ls/vtec), I dont like the idea of taking any b18 over 8500 rpm anyway because theres no power at that rpm, so thats why I wanted more low end torque and power, something many of these engines dont have. It seems like an expensive, but very worthwhile idea. Thanks for all the responses everyone!

That is a lot of money to spend on a ls motor that will have less HP than a much cheaper to build ls-vtec. Dan
