I have a 1993 Civic EJ1 with a JDM 2nd B16. This summer i want boost; Turbo or Supercharge. The motor will be stock besides head gasket and ARP head studs. With Tunning i want 300 whp to run like a low 12's. I wanna know which should i get. Give me the pros and cons of both why which one is better than the other and the price diff. both put a lot of stress on a stock engine.
i would say turbo only because it has a higher amount of power potential.
depending on what you want, a custom turbo kit can run from $1,500 on up. supercharger kits i have seen only as low as $2,000, im sure there is lower, but i dont care to research it.
anyways, i say go turbo.

ill be lookin for one in a couple of months i have to buy some other things first and my car is in the body shop. nice kit i would love to get it.
Not sure if you'll get 300whp bein blown with a stock b16, at least with a JRS kit. I currently have a 92 Si with a stock B18C with a Jackson Racing setup (Eaton blower) runnin 12 psi, an Aem v2 intake, DC Sports 4-2-1 header, 2.5 inch test pipe, 2.5 inch RS*R Gt2 exhaust, chipped p72 ecu runnin uberdata tunned for the setup and am just barely under 300whp. I'm at 4,500 ft elevation and can beat an 05 Z06 Vette pretty damn good. I assume with a JRS kit with basic bolt ons, I'd guess you'll be about 200whp.
