Default EK Hatchback Hatch Lifts/Struts/whatever

Ok, I already searched. My lifts are shot - the ones that hold open the hatch. I tried the autozone ones but they have the completely wrong connector on them. Anyone know how to make them work or who carries a decent pair? I'd rather avoid the dealer since they are so much.

I just bought a pair on ebay for $40 half of what the dealer was asking for one. Installed and worked awesome, came with all the hardware too.

if u want really nice ones i have the tein hood and hatch dampners they work great but they suggest not using them on carbon fiber items because they are to strong.

I also just bought a pair on ebay, around $50 incl shipping.

Careful when you're unbolting the lower end of the old strut (the part attached to the window). The threads on the nut are really weak and if you let the old strut twist while unbolting the stud you'll ruin the threads like I did.

When you say shot, do you mean the struts don't hold up the hatch no more? Or do you get this weird vibration when it is closed?

Wow, that's bad. Regarding the vibration, I get that in winter a lot. Seems like the dampers can't do much dampening so the hatch kinda just bounces up and down, in a very small range of course. Hence the vibration. But in summer, it is fine.

Maybe that is a sign of them giving out on me.
