Default shake in steering wheel

i just put disc brakes on the rear end of my 97 hatch. i put the trailing arm and the spindle on from a 96 integra but had to use my lower control arm. now whenever i hit 65-70 my steering wheel starts shaking like crazy. it did it a little before i swapped out the parts but now its a lot worse. any advice?

advice? get a professional to over look the work. Look into getting an alignment and the wheels re-balanced... I think I used my lower arm for my rear disc with np at all...

i would first check to make sire everything is tight, and you have no worn parts. then get the wheels balanced. most likely it is a balnce issue.

wouldnt wheel balance be at around 55-60 when it starts and why would it get worse. unless somehow i knocked off wheel weights without knowing it..

The speed when it starts shaking depends on how far out of balance they are. It has nothing to do with what you did in the rear being that your shake is in the steering wheel. It's very possible to throw weights, so that's probably what happened. Having the balance checked first would be your best and cheapest check. Make sure they do a dynamic balance and NOT static.
