Bought new Heater Controls: What year is this for?
Yeah, so my fiance bought me a new heater/ac control panel for my 89 CRX HF. Well I receive it in the mail and it does not look the same as my controls in the car now.
Here are what my controls look like:

And here are the Controls that my fiance bought me:

What make model and year are those controls from?

Nope. You have more than rewiring to worry about. The civic controls use cables to change the air control. The CRX uses an electric motor.
two complete different systems.

If he advertised them as CRX controls then you need to get a refund.

ultra common ebay scam, or just stupid people, some people know that crx climate controls go for about $200 in good condition, and the civic ones dont break so theres plenty sittin around

No, really, you don't. The button-operated climate controls crack and break into pieces, and offer no real advantage over the lever-operated climate controls.

He did advertise them as 88-89 CRX Controls. He is supposedly giving me money back minus the shipping paid to ship them to me and to ship them back to him.

How do they crack? I know where they crack, but is it from exposure to the sun, or from the twisting action when going from hot to cold? Mine has yet to crack - it probably doesn't hurt that the heat doesn't work so I don't have to mess with the controls much, but still...?

I think I'm sure I saw that one in an 88hf in a yard....I know it was an HF because I got the steering rack from it. It had manual controls, made me think that perhaps it was the very very 1st run of the 2nd gen. I know, I know, I'm a honda freak and know that only 89hf's had the pillar mounted seat belts and weird trivia like that but for some reason I swear I saw it.

You should do a write up considering all the damn CRX climate controls crack and the Civic's don't. That would be awesome.
BTW, I got my money back including shipping fees.

Would you mind doing a "how to" on this? I've been meaning to put accord climate controls in my civic for a while now but can't find the appropriate "how to."

You glue it on to the original heater control. Looks decent. Definately better than cracked controls.</TD></TR></TABLE>
He (7PSI) does, those are the ones that I have listed in my sig.
