HKS Hiper Max 2 vs. Cusco Zero 2 vs. Tein Flex. Pros and Cons please :)
Hey guys, as in the title.. im looking into some coilovers very soon and these are the 3 that i am debating over.
Im just wondering any pros and cons of each, or do you guys think that each are very similar and any of them would be a great set of coilovers. This will be for an EG Hatch with K20AR. Other suspension mods will include: ITR sways front and rear (rear w/ asr reinforcement), ITR Rear LCA's, front upper strut bar, rear c-pillar bar, full-race traction bar, do-luck room bar.
Thanks heaps guys, just looking for some quick comparisons as i am completely stuck with which route to take!
Paul.

the hks and cusco are much better than the flex in terms of performance. both are going to be high quality and the cusco is made by showa. you can get the zero 2e from cusco which allows the interface of a edfc type controller to control the dampening, i think it may only cost a little more.
thanks guys. Might steer clear of the Teins.
At the moment im leaning towards the zero 2's.
btw. the car will be a weekend driver with occasional track use.. so i dont mind a stiff ride all that much.

I have the HKS Hipermax on my car right now. I have to swap them out with somthing else soon. The height adjustemnt rings on mine are seized. Its due to HKS using very fine threads. Air hammer, etc etc and it still wont come loose. Oh well...

Why?
One drawback to the HKS coilover over TEIN's and Cusco's is that it doesn't offer separate ride height from spring-preload adjustability. Not to say spring preload adjustability is all that important, but a side benefit from this is being able to lower the coilover height without losing piston travel.
