Default 4th Gen Lights

First post, woo hoo! Anyways I have a 1993 Prelude Si and I've just replaced the dome lights with blue LEDs (woo hoo, 3 cheers for mentor brothers :D) and plan on doing the rest eventually... And while I was thinking about this I noticed that the light in the compartment right next to the cigarette lighter thing had gone out or something.. How do I replace that bulb? (Preferably with the blue bulbs) Does it involve taking out the entire center console?

If so, could someone walk me through that?

Thanks a bunch in advance

are you talking about the ashtray...?

welcome to H-T .... just to let you know, if you add neons and colored LEDs, people here are going to flame you.

yes you have to remove the ashtray to get the bulb out, theres just not enough room to get at the bulb. and if you wanna replace the stock yellow-ish bulbs then go with white bulbs (the ones with a light blue tint). color bulbs look really...gay. people on this site are into clean cars, notthing to flashy. you should check out the picture forum to see what i'm talking about.

Yellow-ish bulbs...??? The light in there was green last I saw it... as is the light that illuminates the cigarette lighter and things...

Anyways I'm not trying to make it flashy, but it's a fun project and the blue lights in the top are pretty nice and bright enough to illuminate the car... As for changing all the green lights in the car to blue I don't see why anyone would even bother flaming about that o.O =/

Anyways, even when I take out the ashtray the bulb seems to be plugged into something behind a little metal indent.. -__- And I don't see any screws nearby so I don't know how I would get to it without taking off the whole center thing...

There were many posts about people done this green to blue conversion for all interior lighting. You can search around about LED light, I'm sure you can find good info for your answer. I remember people were saying it wasn't hard to change those led light.

I have the light blew where around the place where the key is turn. Any ideas?
