Default Final pics of interior/integra dash/door fitment...

So it has taken me a long time to finally finish my door panels...I guess I've just been really busy lately.

While my door panels were out, I re-wrapped the door panel armrests with 'imitation leather', and spraypainted the door panels black to match the dash.

First I sprayed them with semi-gloss, but it was waaayyy too shiny. I sprayed them again with flat black, and the match is better now.

I also spraypainted my steering wheel black, for a temporary fix until I get my ITR steering wheel.

This is what my interior looked like right after my dash swap:

Current interior:

driver door panel:

passenger door panel:

driver-side fitment:

passenger-side fitment:

re-wrapped door panel:

The ugly truth about the teg dash swap:

Personally, these 'imperfections' don't bother me at all. I mean, c'mon...your doors are shut 90% of the time anyways. The fitment against the dash looks stock, and only the people who are paying close attention notice the door panels.

In my opinion, the pros still totally outweigh the cons. I'm still diggin' my new dash two months later.

The only things I have left to do is to get black carpet, and buy a black e-brake handle.

Yeah...well like I said, it doesn't bother me personally.

I guess if your doors are open a lot then it might be annoying.

Yeah man, good looks on all the *** busting it probably took gettin that thing in there. but now, what you need to do now that you've spend all the time hookin it up, is to spend time cleaning up the imperfections. Why do all that work and not touch up the little things? It may not bother you now, but you'll love it so much more if it were perfected. Ever hear the phrase, "It's the little things that count" hehe. good work man, now finish the job and it'll really be mint!

Well, I really don't think you'd notice it if the doors were shut.

On the driver's side, it's almost a perfect fit when the door is shut.

It's only when you open the doors that you see the wrinkles and gaps. A passenger might even completely miss it if they aren't paying close attention.

Good point, i just know if it were me, if it didnt bother me all the time just knowing it was like that, it def would every time i got into the car. I am a bit obsessive compulsive when it comes to my car though.

I don't know any way to say it nicely but it looks awful. For everything I have read about this swap it is alot of work. I know it would not be near as hard to mold up those wrinkly *** door panels to match that dash contour. If I hadn't already fiberglassed my dash and door panels I would show you how to do it correctly.
I hope the negative feedback on the attention to detail inspires you to do a better job. Next time buy an integra and put a civic front nose on it. After all you can't see it at all when inside the car with the doors closed.

Post some pics when you redo it.

Good Luck

E. Honda, you are a ******* retard. Aren't you the guy that put lambo doors on your civic? And are the same 30 some year old that's building a civic to **** off some cop? STFU! Orignal poster, a lot of man hours you put into that. Just one question, what was wrong with your other interior?

Preludepower, that looks like trash right now but you can fix it. Mine looked like that before I bought some spray glue and glued them down a little. It got about 80% of the wrinkles out. You should look into that. I got the spray glue at an auto parts store and it was only like 5$. Keep it up though, dash looks nice.

Bump for hardwork, I wonder what would happen if you took a heat gun and tried to shrink the leather on the door panels? Has anybody tried this, I don't really know that much about fabrics. Good job anyways

Good job. I don't think I would ever do this swap, just due to those 'imperfections'. They would bug the hell out of me.

Simmer down there sugar bottom.

I am a retard for expressing my opinion?

If that is the case that would make you a retard too.

But I won't call you a retard as I don't feel I should insult 'REAL" retarded people of the world. They don't have a choice.

Have a wonderful Holiday Season Sweet Britches.
