Default 91 crx wiper and rear defrost problems

i have a 91 crx si ....and my rear defrost doesnt work...the light on the rear defrost button does not light with the headlights on and it does not light when i push the defrost button in...just wondering if there is a common poblem before i start probing wires..

also my front wipers work on all speeds but no matter what speed it turn them off in they wont go all the way doen to the original position they will stay about 4'' up on the windshield

thoughts?

Well for the defrost I'd say check your fuses of course (although I'm sure there are other things that run to the same fuse that would be faulty as well)....if not try just changing the switch. Instead of digging into wiring ugh.

And the wipers. Do they go 4" further than they should at the top of the windshield too? Or just won't return to the right place at the bottom?

yeah fuses are good....and the wipers do a full sweep of the windshield (not too far) and come back but dont go down to resting position...they stay about 4'' up
