Decent street tires???
Dunlop Direzza DZ101
BF Goodrich g-Force sport
for 15's
Anyone have experience with these??? good-bad??. I have yokohoma avs es100's for my street treads and their on their last leg. The yoks have great traction in the dry, but wet traction could be better and their a little noisy after alot of miles have been put on them. Trying to find comparable dry traction with better in the wet. I have been contimplating going with 215/50's cause I have a 7 inch wide wheel and plenty of space in my wheel well. Only the BFG's are offered in that size, it seems this tire size is only popular in Japan.
Im up for suggestions.. trying to stay under $100 per tire... Tread wear +260... getting new track tires and wheels very soon so im not trying to spend alot on street treads.

Stick with 205/50-15. People using 215/50 on Integras have reported rubbing in the wheel wells.
Don't get the BFG. They're not as good as the Yoko ES100.
I know Matt likes the DZ101 ($59/tire), but I've never tried it and have never seen any performance tests of it against other popular tires. < shrug >
I suggest the Kumho Ecsta SPT ($62/tire). Based on the side-by-side comparison test on the Tire Rack website, their performance is similar to the ES100 in the dry, and better in the wet - exactly what you're looking for.
If you want to spend a little more money for better performance, then consider the Kumho Ecsta MX ($79/tire) or the Toyo T1-R ($92/tire).

The Falken Azenis RT-615 (and its RT-215 predecessor) are an entirely different kind of tire from those above, and is not likely to be considered by someone looking for performance along with "bang for the buck". The RT-615 is an extremely sticky but extremely fast-wearing tire. It's ideal if you take your car to autocrosses or track events as well as using it on the street. But because it wears so fast, you'll probably buy about three sets of RT-615 if you drive the same number of miles that one set of Yokohama ES100 will last. That's why it doesn't offer "bang for the buck" at all. (It's also a lot more expensive than the $60ish tires listed above.)

Which model of Proxes are you talking about? Toyo makes a lot of different tires that carry the Proxes name (just like Bridgestone does with Potenzas, Michelin does with Pilots, etc) - everything from the Proxes RA-1 track tire, to the Proxes T1-R performance tire, to the Proxes 4 all-season tire if you drive on snow and frigid cold, to the Proxes S/T truck tire.
Different tires for different needs...

These tires will see neither track days nor autocross, I'll have another set of wheels and tires for the fun stuff. So longevity is kind of a factor simply cause I'd rather be spending money on track tires then street tires. Im shure alote of you know what I mean.
Yeah BFG's are out.. Ive heard from too many people that they didnt like them.
I've also heard negative on the Dunlop's.
This post was just to get some feed back on other tires and suggestions. I like the Kumho's new'ish tire the SPT but Ive only had bad experiences with Kumho, excluding their competition tires. Ive been a Yokahoma fan for a while but maybe ill give someone else a shot.
Thanx guys
