Default ls/vtec just building bottom end.. can u confirm the parts for me

B18a Block (hot tanked, honed, and probably bored)
ARP Rod Bolts
ARP Head Bolts
JDM P30 OS Pistons, Rings, Wrist Pins
GSR Oil Pump, Water Pump, Tensioner, Timing Belt
OEM Honda Rod and Crank Bearings
Golden Eagle VTEC Oil Supply
Golden Eagle Dowel Pins
Golden Eagle Headgasket ---> do they sell them bored out to 81.25 or 81.50????
and have my oil hole plugged on my head
Hondata s100

Is that all I need? I feel like I am forgetting some things.

Do I need bigger injectors?
Cam Gears?
Fuel Rail?
FPR?

Do I need to upgrade my ignition?

I am going to use my stock b17 head right now. I do not have money to build that. Which sucks.

I've seen and heard people putting down around 185whp with this kind of setup.

Is that about right?

yes i know.. trust me.. ive searched, read, etc..

i see what people got, and used, and done..

but i just want a final confirm on my list..

thanks for your help.

stupid people and oh search button.. i'll remember that when you post something..

every topic that is posted on HT has been covered in some way.. so that means everyone should just search and there would be no new posts.

seems like you have all that you need. as for injectors it depends on what your hp goals are.

well for now I'm just keeping the head stock. and ive read about other guys build like mine with the bottom built and the top stock and they are around 185whp. so thats the area im going to be in. so if my stock injectors will do for now, that would be good.

just curious why you don't want to build the head already since you're doing all this work now. just wondering, i'm not trying to insult you ar anyway.

I'm in the begining process fo build a all oem lsvtec and i think that if you are planning on reving past 8200 you should put after market springs and retainers but at the same time i will be getting some springs and retainers just for add insurance.also you said that you feel like your missing something you might want to get arp headstuds, rod bolts and maybe for peace of mind main studs.good luck with your build bro

Make sure that you buy B16 or B18 ARP head studs, because the ls will not work correctly

U need GSR head bolts/studs. B16 bolts are to short, therefore ripping the threads when torqing them down. If u need any help with the motor u have my number

its better for high reving..and keeps the bottom end more stable, since the LS blocks arent made to be reving to 8k+.. but its not an issue if you dont get it. there are lots of people runing there ls vtec or b20vtec without them

No to injectors, but you can have them balanced
Yes to cam gears, they are a nice thing to have down the road, but you can wait til you start building the head.
Not necessary to have the fuel rail. I bought mine because my ls one didn't fit and the head didn't come with it.
Yes to FPR, similar reason to cam gears, they are a nice thing to have for tuning purposes in the future.

Personally, I added an oil pressure gauge in the car to monitor the oil pressure (duh). I think it will give you a better reassurance.

definitely getting an oil pressure gauge and water temperature.. dont need any oil pressue losses and overheating issues.

just to be safe.
