looking for fuel filter,pump,etc
hey, i am fairly new to the tuning game, so go easy on me, my 2000 ex has been making some funny noises, like it is being starved for fuel(or something), i think i might have a clogged filter, or water in the line. Like i said, i don't know much about engines, but love to learn, anyone know where that stuff is located
You're fuel filter is in a 4x4" housing attached to the firewall more on the left side of the engine bay. There will be two lines going from it, one going to your fuel rail which holds the injectors.
The fuel pump is located under the carpet near the back in the center, covered by a metal dome.
Your pump is almost definitely fine, but your fuel filter could probably use changing. Also depending on which octane gas you've been using your injectors might have some buildup on/in them. If you say its "been making some funny noises" that could be almost anything. It most likely isn't being starved for fuel.
