you are the right track and seem to know what the heck you're doing and that's nice you picked something special like a prelude and not an ordinary civic. hey I'm in jersey also let me know of a good machine shop around our tri NYC areas that know about preludes and h series engine I'm also in the same page as you except I will unfortunately be dealing with turboing a h22 instead of a h23.

Just a suggestion concerning Brakes: I don't think you will have the right brakes to stop such beast you plan to bring to life. I wouldn't use brembo drilled/ slotted, they are actually worst than having them blank, the blanks are a better choice for better stopping. On the other hand, I would even better get a big brake kit with 4 pot and at least 13" rotors. Don't skimp on the brakes, they are the most important thing in a turbo project

I'm glad he picked a preldue also. As soon as I read the thread title - I though " another damn civic " - i'm so glad he picked the lude. The prelude is just soo sexy, how could anyone pick a damn civic?

Kind of a funny thing I've noticed with most engine and transmission tear downs......there is always a bottle of gatorade in the backround. lol Just wondered if anyone else has noticed this? Awesome pick with the lude tho.

actually im building an h22. and z10 engineering who advertizes in on this site did the sleeving, resurfacing, bore, and hone. give him a call ask for rob. there in asbury park nj. exit 100 of the parkway. and a guy in garwood called rogers speed shop did the head, he will also be balancing my crank, rods, and pistons, and am still considering letting him build it, but i havent decided yet.

and as for the rotors, i know i got beat. might just put $20 blanks from advanced on there and sell the slotted crembo rotors.

This is awesome! I'm hopefully doing my H23 tranny breakdown/gear swap/rebuild in the summer. So definitely let us know how it goes. Won't be going all out like that though... you sure you can get it all done in one winter?

Oh, and I also plan to have a bottle of Gatorade by my side. Seriously, I do. It was part of the plan from the beginning.

Dan

i hope NJ winters aren't as cold as western mass. winters... it's ******* cold and makes me not want to work on my car. all I have left for my h22 swap is throwing the suspension together and bolting up the exhaust.. and nobody has any of the boots i need for teh suspension.. working on cars + winter = lots of swearing and bloody knuckles and snots wiped on my shirt sleeves

This car is going to be awesome! I don't think I have ever seen that many parts in a single persons possession at one time. The block looks amazing as well. It even looks like your dog is excited to see it. lol Too bad you have to bolt a cylinder head on top and cover up all that cylindrical beauty. Great build. Continue to keep us posted.

any opinions before i build it completely. the shop has the block now to balance the crank, rods, pistons, and to select bearings and assemble the pistons rods and crank. from there its all me, im using stock cams, no p/p. please review my parts list, and make suggestions, or comments. somebody already warned me about the rotors, so i will be using blanks and selling the cross-drilled. any other usefull infomation would be appreciated. thanx
