I do know when half shafts or axles click on a front drive car (in this case, my del sol), all you can do is wait for them to blow or replace them. I just wanna know what it is that makes them click. By that i mean what is the source of the clicks? Im not sure if its the right forum, but I know this one has people that would know this, if it isnt, disregard this. If your gonna hate, do it somewhere else. Thanks a bunch guys!

 

Clicks = bad axle(s)


Usually happens from worn out bearings in the joint.

 

they knock bc the joints are so worn they can move a lot inside, so when they move around they knock when they hit back into place....

Exactly. Replace them and you're golden.

 

Usually when you hear the clicking its because its metal to metal due to no grease.

 

can the bearings alone be bought? cause here in canada an axle alone is 200. How much do they go for in the US in general? thanks alot for everything

 

i changed my axles the other day and im still getting a couple clicks here and there. could there be anything else that is making the click sound

Is that USD or canadian? Because shipped you could get one for less then half the price.
