Is it not getting spark or you just think that's the problem? Check the T-stat ground, and if it is getting spark and not turning, check the main relay.

 

Check the spark and fuel, if u have that, then your distributor might be bad.

 

it jus cranks... its like it wants to start .... wen i was driving on the freeway the engine jus turned off. nd pulled over tryied to start it all i get is a crank then called a tow truck bring the car home...

check the distributor , remove the cap and check if the screw didn't came of the rotorif it did just get another screw

 

checked everything... everything is fine distrubitor is new nd rotor.... nething else guys thanx for ideas

kinda sounds like a coil to me but u say your dizzy is fine ..does your fuel pump prime??

 

i would say ignition coil or fuel pump broken or not working

 

I had a friends do that, and it was the ignitor in the dizzy. It happened about 3 times in that damn car. It's at the bottom part of the dizzy under the rotor. Check that bro

 

fuel pump still good checked my igniton coil nd its good but i havent checked the igniter yet i kno its located in the bottom but how do u take it out....

 

if u know any one else with a crx try ur distributor on theirs and theirs on ur car..make sure al the conections inside the dizy r on good

does your tach ever bounce around while driving if so then yeah your ignitor is bad

 

nope my rpm doesnt bounce around. so it could be the distributor....
