keyless ignition in my prelude
I have an 98 prelude with the great auto transmission, I was wondering if getting keyless entry would damage the starter. Also is installation of a viper keyless entry/ignition pretty basic to install? I don't need to go to the dealer and have them reprogram the stuff?
my friends escalade has gone through a couple starters over the past couple years, but thats GM for ya! i would have someone install it for you, it requires a bit it knowledge about wiring. plus you will get some sort of warranty if you let the dealer do the work. and don't alarms come with free install anyways?

do you mean remote start? If so, no they will not damage the starter if installed and programmed properly. As far as installing it yourself, how familiar are you with your dash wiring?
