I am looking to go boost next year, my car is in storage right now, and I am also going to be building my engine up, its an h22a. My question is if I get some turbo camshafts and install but dont yet have my turbo set up is that going to be o.k for the camshafts? Basically is it o.k to run turbo cams without having turbo? Thanks

 

Another question...do you need turbo cams if your going to boost?

 

yes its fine running turbo cams w/o turbo. and no you dont need turbo cams going boost.

yeah i personally think turbo cams are a waste of money

 

turbo cams actually help quicken turbo spool, good if your running a large turbo

And then kill off all those top end gains made possible by having a larger turbo.
