Default 2000 JDM ITR Tranny Different than '98 Spec JDM ITR Tranny?

This was posted by another member on H-T:

new JDM Integra Rs have double cone 1st, 3rd, and 4th synchros and triple cone 2nd synchros. The NSX & the S2000 have similar tranny setups. I'm wondering if the 2000 ITR (either USDM or JDM) had trannies that were designed to handle more abuse than say the JDM Civic SiR2 tranny. They are both almost identical except for age and the optional LSD in the SiR2 (Y21).
We were talking about the best possible B-Series Hydro trannies for all-motor or near-stock motors, and the above was posted.

I'm thinking he's talking about the DC5 ITR, right? From the looks of it it seems as though he might mean the very last DC2 available in Japan. Would the above be true? I just figured that the trannies would all be the same from 1998-up on the JDM DC2.

Can anyone confirm or deny those claims above?
