do you have a bill of sale or receipt from what you gave him? this will probably be one of the few things that could help you in court

 

i do but i cant sue him unless i have an address to surve him papers

For 1 you put a "DEPOSIT" down on a car and then did not fulfill your end of the deal and on top of things when you said on the phone after 3 months of
"Trying To Get Your Car Loan"??? and you finally got approved for a way lower amount than you said you were approved for in the begining when you test drove the car 5 times and placed a non refundable deposit, you then decide you cant afford it for the price we agreed on when you test drove the car????? and then you try to make me change the car alot to lessen the value to fulfill your ability to afford it?????
Nothing shady went on as you stated it did in your post and iam sure you will make up tons of things to make me look shady and to your advantage.

You even told me your own mother even told you that you could not afford the car and was worried that you were making to big of a step but you insisted on saying you would get it no matter what well guess what you did'nt and you are mad at yourself for assuming you could and trying to do it at my time and expense!

Well grow up and when you try to buy a car and on top of that put a non-refundable "DEPOSIT" down stating you are a serious buyer that means for the seller to assume the deposit is saying that you will buy the vehicle within a reasonable amount of time and the seller is not to sell the car to anyone else correct????? (Check the Law) or better yet ask your lawyor!

Well guess what TONY thats what i did i held the car for 3 months for your winey ***!!! And then you tried to scam me and tell me to change the motor in the car and take alot of stuff off the car to make the car way cheaper after you knew i lost alot of potental buyers and i even had another guy that was ready to buy cash in hand but no i held it for you being the stupid one and closed my ad in auto trader and cost me alot of money and time in the process!!!! And you thought you were gonna get over on me and take my kindness for weakness and think i had no other source to sell the car cause it had been so long?

Yeah you have been on H-T for quite sometime so yes you have an advantage to my side of the story i guess but just because you have been a H-T member for quite ahwile does not exclude you from making mistakes in your decisions outside of H-T anyone should understand that!

i dont need to do that i dont need anyone else's money by far and if you knew me you would know why, cars are not my source of money it is strictly a hobby.

You know when i met you Tony you seemed to be a pretty nice guy and i wish things would have went better than they did but you gotta understand business is business and if YOU were selling a car and some guy came to look at it test drove it 5-6 times and said how much he was in love with it and said it was his dream car and he would do anything to buy/get it and he then said "Dude The Car Is Sold" and then said please dont sell it to anyone else i will put a non refundable deposit down within a couple days to assure you the car is sold to the agreed terms/price which was discussed in full with the seller and buyer and the seller having many witnesses standing there when you test drove the car and when you agreed on the price/terms/deposit and what the car would come with when purchased.
And then the buyer asked you to remove the motor/seats/wheels/etc/etc/etc to make it affordable for the buyer to afford would you refund a non refundable deposit after 3 months???

So keep on badmouthing me all to your hearts desire Tony if it makes you feel better inside then so be it and all you guys that think you have something to say without knowing the whole story let alone none of you were there when the deal took place so go assume if you lost some Deposit money and realized you really screwed up and over exspended yourself/lied and was mad at yourself for doing such a dumb thing and costing yourself $3200 for getting excited over a car that cost $18k and you knew in your mind was not affordable for you, and then really wanted to try to get your non refundable deposit back i suppose you would start a thread up like this as well to maybe see if you would get anything out of it and try to ruin someone's reputation, lol well if thats the case so be it!!! (I have done business with others here on H-T which worked out just fine)

Tony has no one to blame but himself for this mistake he made on his behalf.

And for the record yes Tony i have moved and yes i do still come to Seattle to visit and yes i do still have the PY ITR for your inquiring mind cause i know you are so curious and think iam hiding! Not True!

This is a classic case of the poor guy "trying" to buy something he knows is too much car/payment for him and buy's it anyway's and then cant make the payments and insurance so it gets repo'd!

I tell ya what Tone i still have the car and it is complete i will be a nice guy 1 TIME ONLY which i dont have to do and offer you the car once again for the agreed price we made in person when you test drove the car and apply your non refundable deposit you made to the price as discussed in person when you test drove the car 5 times?

hey your welcome for posting the link. do i get a percenteage. haha. just jokin. anyways man. i am right there with you. if someone gives you a deposit to hold a car then basically to me they are entering a contract. i hope you have it in writing though that it was non refundable. deposit. also he cant get into trouble posting your phone number. its public information.

lol my friends did not go to jail for stolen property one guy went to jail for something that was assumed to be a stolen motor and when they got to the bottom of it they figured out the motor was sold with a notorized bill of sale from the origional owner that did a swap before the car got stolen and then 8 months later for your information the car got jacked! Its no different than you buying a motor off H-T from the origional owner and 1 year later his car gets stolen the motor then becomes stolen unless you can prove it was purchased before the theft
occured.
And no u did not give me the deposit 2 weeks in advance of picking up the car you know that as well as i do!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And you offered the $15,700 if i was willing to remove parts and exchange them for what you wanted correct??? This dude wanted to lowball me and then ask for Lowjack and ask for a different motor and ask for spoon calipers, spoon bars,advans,$2000 1 piece suspension, Optional Lip Kit, Hid's, etc,etc,etc anyone would have rolled over laughing at the deal i asked my $18k for a PY ITR with 22k miles with all sorts of goodies like man the car was way underpriced as it was with all the bolt on's and such! So much on the car to post the list keeps going on and on and on!

tony, i hope you have something to document your "deposit" to PY01R. with a date and some detailed info on how much you have left to pay for that car. he never sold the car, so u can't say he took your money and sold the car to someone else. the car is still there and since PY01R is offering you the car still, i would jump on it and attempt to avoid the contemplation. if you just want your money back, i don't know what to tell ya. PY01R has a strong standing it sounds. he has lost money through autotrader and whatever else he stated. not to mention time = money.

i know it's none of my business, but you gotta share more of your side of the story tony. all i see is "i made a 3500 deposit for an ITR and now i can't get my money back."

PY01R does sound reasonable, so maybe you should attempt to reason with him. cause if u don't, i will did i read "hook you up with some parts" his ITR does sound badass and i was even interested in trading him my turbo gsr, but i have no money to put on top. lol but if he is still interested in trading, i'll do it!!!

The car is located near Seattle,Wa at a friends house garaged 24/7 i dont
live there anymore but iam in town off and on for business.
I have not ripped him off and he knows it he is just upset for the decision he made.
He played his own deck and it did not work the way he wanted!

And my attorney said the same thing u said i did not sell the car and me even willing to offer it to him still is being quite fair i think?

Sorry to have to trash the board with all this drama but had i knew sooner about it being on here i would had spoke sooner.
I dont think i would have went as far as posting someone's personal info online but hey i guess he has alot of time on his hands.

Dont get me wrong if i made a mistake like that i would be mad as well too but if it was my fault and i knew it i would not post others info online i would have tried to say something like hey i know i made a huge mistake but do you think we could work something out maybe a partial refund or maybe some trading or something?
