keep the stock unit. the only thing i would really consider doing is porting of the runners, and porting of the mouth where the throttle body sits.

FYI the stock Y8 IM can be modified to accept a B-series throttle body. I was using a Y8 head setup on a d15 block in a CRX with CRX Si tranny. All I did was port the head and match port the manifolds (intake and exhaust). I was running 15.2's all day with mini-me, beating my friends 96 GSR with a DC 4-1 header, Greddy EVO cat-back, chipped p28 (VTEC@ 5300, no rev limit) and a Skunk 2 IM. I was beating him by .5 second every run. But yeah the stock y8 intake mani is pretty damn good. Even better when worked out and using a B-series throttle body. Oh and a stock B16 or GSR t-body will do just fine, no need to source a Type R t-body(too large for a stock d motor).
