Default d15b2////d16a6

I just found out that the only differance is the stroke and cam between the d15b2 and the d16a6 so if I change the crank cams and injection I have a d16a6 right?
I just need other input Ive done everything in my head it seems to work out

Block deck height is different so you can't just swap the crank.

If you want a D16A6, I'd suggest to just buy a D16A6. They are rather cheap.

no one is a 1.5l and one is a 1.6l ... if you change the pistons crank *cam* (singular) rods harness intake throttle body and ecu than you have an a6... im prety sure im missing something in there i just cant think of what it is right now...

just go buy an a6 for like $100-$150 with alt intake mani throttle body harness and ecu... dont bother changing all the internals unless your planing on changing them to forged

you might be able to pull somethign off with it if you had the block noched... but it would deff not be worth it...

Just convert to MPFI, and take an SI cam or better yet drop a zc cam in. You will be putting down close to the same power. Also the d15 has higher compression

the d16a6 crank will NOT fit
the crank journals on a d15 are 45mm and d16's are 55mm
you might be able to do something with the jdm d15 vtec because it hqas different specs
not sure tho

if you want to keep the b2 just swap in an a6 cam(use a y8/y7 cam gear) do a mpfi swap use a y8 header and use a pm7 you'd be suprised how much quicker it'll be

The A6 cam gear is the same one in the d15b2. The only difference in the heads is the cam. So yes you can use it. I am using my old cam gear with my zc cam

he a6 cam is "keyed" half a tooth off from TDC compared to the b7. what this means is that you have to "redial" this half a tooth difference on your adjustable cam gear to get the new a6 cam "zero'ed out". otherwise youll be half a tooth off depending on how you installed the cam in the first place. BUT you can go low budget and use a y8/y7 cam gear because it is keyed a half tooth off so it corrects the timing
