when my ECT was broke my car wouldnt start up right away when it had been sitting for a long time but would start up fine once it was warmed up ......what kind of symptoms are u having

well the car was sitting for 3 months with the battery disconnected, it still has power but when i crank the motor itll get stuck almost like theres not enough juice to the starter to start the car and the interior lights will shut off for 30 secs, its weird and its pissing me off, when it actually cranks itll start but very very low idle and chopy and will stall, help bro im loosing my mind cause i know its osmething stupid that can be fixed very easily

check the wiring on the ECT sensor and check the grounds on your thermostat housing make sure its on there nice and tight

Could be low voltage in the car. Let it sit on a battery charger for a little while. 3 months is a long time for a battery...

word, thats what i was going to do today, i think thats the problem plus i need to re-wire the ground and coolanyt temp. sensor plug and plug that **** in, then i should be throwing any codes and the car should start right up.

would the ect make vtec not kick in? i just swaped a b16a into a crx si and the vtec isn't kicking in. i'm going to check the sensor tomorrow. thanks guys,
