Default Fan Noise? Help

I got a 99 accord and when I turn on the fan to 1, I can hear a fan, anyone know how to get this to not be heard?

Either don't turn it on, or wear noise cancelling headphones.

You won't ever get away from some blower motor noise. Is it too loud, sound like someone's giving you a raspberry? You've got to elaborate.

I'm an Idiot, huh?
How about giving us a discription of the condition a LITTLE MORE DISCRIPTIVE than "ohhh it's noisy, make it stop."

How about:
"It sounds like when I drive my bike and I've got playing cards in the spokes"
or
"It sounds like my cat's under the dashboard growling at me"

The mark of a true IDIOT is those who don't know how to ask a question. I guess that make you one. ... And I don't care if you ARE offended.

What? Star Trek's not on, or is the XBox broken?

come on guys.....both of you are middle aged adults on a forum dominated by 20 somethings.....can you please try and act your age

either the blower motor is being noisy, or there is something vibrating inside of the ducting......but without a better description of the sound, its hard to tell

You have to give a better description dude. Does it sound like something is rubbing on the fan, or what? Is it really loud? I used to hear something that sounded like leaves against the fan. Sooner or later they would fly out, and the noise would stop. I guess if it ever got really anoying I would have taken it apart. Never lasted more than a couple days though.

Well, what do you expect when the guy says, "I turn the fan on, and I hear a fan". Duh. What did he expect to hear? You have to give people a sounds like, or something besides "I hear a fan".

this reminds me of something that annoys me in my 04 tacoma, if there's snow anywhere on my hood near the vents, and i have the the windshield defroster on, snow always ends up on my dashboard, and if i have the cabin fan on, i always end up getting hit in the face with barrages of ice particles.

Now that's funny. Did you try switching it to recirculate, to try and stop this from happening?

Immature? no. I though I was pretty much on point. I just went to a level I thought he'd listen to. You'll notice I never told him to go away..... I kept asking for a clearer description.
I take this seriously, so serious that I've made a commitment to not comment on things I know nothing about, admit when my information is wrong and try to elicit participation from those asking the question.
I will NOT be called an idiot. It's a rare day when I make a disparaging remark. None of us get paid a dime for this, we're in here because we want to help
.

With questions like "I turn the fan on, and I hear a fan" it's hard to come up with a serious answer.

calling anyone who is trying to help an idiot is not very nice. nobody likes that . especially p_ A... he goes out of his way to help people and He is a true gentleman ,,not like me i would have told you to shove it where the sun don't shine ........

Anyho,, go to a store and buy a 3M brand can of compression, spray it all over the blower motor that should quiet any noises

That's right, I'd heard somewhere that you could now get 'Mechanic in a Can' in an aerosol spray. Gee, the wonders of modern chemistry!

Yeah, he was tryin to help but I took it the wrong way it's my b, when i turn on the fan to 1, it's like he said, a sort of noise such as a bike with baseball cards in the spokes, but it's very faint, I don't think it works if you turn it higher, it just gets dulled out by the air coming through. Thanks for the help all

There is probably a leaf stuck in the fan cage, you can drop the motor out and pick out the trash

If I picked out the trash the whole motor would be gone

Twobit:
I concur with Hondadude, you've pulled a bit of leaf debris into the blower case. It acts much like the 'card in the bicycle spokes' comment I used earlier.

By the way; sorry that I came down like the proverbial 'ton-o-bricks' earlier. It had been an extremely long day (proof being the time stamps on my posts yesterday)
Glad to see you came back to pick up on the conversation
