AUTO TO MANUAL THEN BACK TO AUTO?
lets say i want to swap an manual tranny into the auto but then later on i decide iwant the auto again. would this be a bitch? also what manual tranny goes into an 00 civic ex? thanks guys
yes it would be a bitch. either buy a manual or buy an auto. or buy both and choose. dont you think it would be dumb to have a manual car mon, tues, weds and then switch it up to auto thurs, and friday? seriously think about it. its a waste of time

no i actually want to drive a stick right now for a year or two but im thinking about selling the car then. therefore i was thinking i could swap it back when im done

You won't be able to do it. You have to cut the car up to install the shift linkage. So you won't be able to put the shift linkage for them auto back in. Just pick auto or manual.

I wouldn't say that. Just remember, automatic transmission are more costly to repair than a manual. And the person buying the car, (if it's some high school kid) would want it to be a stick.

If your interested in keepin' the value of the car keep it auto and go trade it into a dealership ... if your interested in keeping it for a little for your own pleasure keep it for awhile than sell it on autotrader ... gotta pick one bro

This will be your hardest part to going back to auto. Everything else will be cake. But youll have to make a new mounting bracket for the cables.

Thats everywhere. If you want a higher trade in value dont touch the car.

I just finished my auto to manual swap in my 00 civic coupe it wasn't hard... And it wouldn't be hard at all to turn it back to an auto.. my car is still wired for my auto tranny all i would haf to do is swap trannys my ecu and install my auto shifter back in.... I hope that help'd
