gas problem in a b16a3

Default gas problem in a b16a3

need help just swap a b16a3 into my 93 dx coupe run great but fast idle control needs to be replaced in 5th gear rpm are high they are at about 3 to 4 grand at about 70 to 80 mph is this normal i don't no i'm use to my sohc motor and it suck up gas like crazy please help me

that rpm is normal for that mph, you should still be able to get over 30 mpg on the hwy, search more these questions have been answered many times

That would be because of the wonderful B16 trans.

Going from a SOHC to a B16A may seem like it is revving high but the b16 tranny's gear are shorter. This is normal

i get 32 mpg on the highway with mine.....its rather annoying how high it is indeed. But i did manage 420 miles with it one tank once.
