I am in the process of relocating my battery to the trunk of my CRX and want to know, if it is required to run a in-line fuse or circuit breaker on the positive cable that runs from the engine to the battery. I have a battery box and a kill switch but I want to know weather or not I need the fuse to be legal at the track. I have searched and found multiple thread with everyones opinions on this but no actual information. Thanks
i read not to long ago that is is an nhra requirement to have a kill switch/fuse if the battery is relocated at all, im not 100% on it all though.
I guess it would depend on what type of track event it was?
For it to work in general, no you don't need a fuse/breaker in line. But different track types/events will have different requirments.

i'd recommend it for safety.. but i used jumper cable wire for mine and that had some serious insulation so i deemed it safe and never had a problem
Dude just put one in, what if you get in an accident, you get knocked unconscious and can't engage the kill switch, the wire gets spliced and grounds out. Your whole car will be in flames before you can get out. I would say putting in a fuse is much like wearing your seatbelt. No one plans to get in an accident but if you do you will be better off.
Yeh, I got a 100amp circuit breaker off ebay for 15 bux, way easier to reset a circuit breaker than replace a fuse and it's good for safety too. If that power wire ever shorted out, you could fry every wire in your car.
