Look at my spark plus, am i running to lean
Someone running a similiar setup just took his head off tonite and had burnt up 3 rings. So now im kinda paranoid to be running this thing untuned. I will get her tuned asap, but i just wanna make sure she is running safe right now. As of right now, i havnt heard any pinging. there is about 2500miles on the bottom end right now, and its due for the first oil change real soon.
Setup basically a b16a with oversized ctr slugs and a toda head gasker, running dc4 to 1 and omni test pipe with rsr exhaust. Can you guys tell me if you think its to lean. thanks

im running at stock timing, if its a little lean, could i just throw the distributor back 2 degrees and be fine? thanks for the advice guys

looks lean, your running a stock pr3 ecu? You are definately getting detonation get that thing tuned asap. What plugs are you running? You should try bkr7e11. Hopefully you havent damaged anything yet
Get it tuned! I mean its one thing to throw money into your car but throw money into your car and have the chance of having it blow after a couple thousand miles...why?
yeah definately tuning, my buddy's spark plugs got shot last night and he's only ran it for 2k miles since hes had it, went to auto store put new spark plugs in and once again it started to misfire as soon as he pulled out of the parking spot
better to just pay for tuning than 10 sets of plugs in a month

yeah i was waiting for cams to get it tuned, but now im just gonna go get it tuned asap. ill just try to drive as little as i can right now, and very easy when i do.
looks a lil lean to me not too leans though.... get ur ecu chipped or tune is the best option u got right noww...trust me tha motor is capable off low 13 sec if right tune bro.... ive seen it before.....good luck bro....
Seeing as you read fuel mixture at the bottom of where the insulator and metal meet, your pic's do no good whatsoever to try and read them. Plus you need to use new plugs and do a clean cut. Atleast I do not see any detonation, unless they were taken out after regular running, then they mean nothing.

ROTFLMAO!!! Just me, or is this post pretty hilarious?

All of these people are guessing. They are all full of ****. Assuming you arent running WOT, the ecu is running closed loop and should maintain the correct air fuel ratio. Tune it with a wideband and be done.

Funny I was thinkin the same thing

If you need to drive the car back it off to like 5 degrees if you think it's going to melt something. Then again I wouldn't be driving it if I knew something was not right. If you can don't drive it and get it tuned ASAFP. Would hate for a 5 part cause you to spend 500.
Everyone here is guessing! I bet he pulled those plugs after he was driving part throttle and idling. The only thing you are going to see from those plus is if you are running lean at idle. You have to do a full throttle run and after say a third gear pull turn the car off, even before you let off the throttle. Than pull over to the side of the road and pull the plugs. When you look at the plugs they should be a tanish cooler. Look for black speckles on the porcelain, that indicates detonation. There is alot more to reading plugs than just looking at the color. If you don't know how just put a timing light on your car and bump it back to like 14 degrees and you should be good, but get it tuned.
P.S. Don't turn the key all the way off just enough to turn the motor off. I don't want anyone trying this and killing themselves because there steering wheel locked up on them.

my plugs looks jus like that even after tuned on the dyno... dude is right it jus shows ur runnin lean at idle.. jus geta wideband to keep an eye on ur air fuel
