Default Tailight and interior light all out!

This is how it happened: when I tried to use the paper clip to light up my foglight because selling the old fog switch, it didn't worked the first time, so I burned the plastic at the each end of the paper clip, and tried again, and it worked. I done this while opening the door, and the warning tone (ding dong..) for turning off the headlight is gone, and what is worse is the tailight is gone while headlight is on.(it still light up when I brake) each front corner light is out too, and also all interior lighting is gone including cluster!

Anyone experienced this before? I heard from my friend that he said that might be the tailight wire got burned, and every easy to fix. However, I've checked, not sight of it. Really needed help!! THANKS!

Taillights and the interior lights are using the same circuit. Its like this on most vehicles.

Most likely there is a short to ground in that circuit somewhere. If you keep putting a fuse in, and it keeps blowing - that is the problem.

the paper clip going in is blowing a fuse...you are jumping the wrong wires

check all the fuses...esp the small light fuse under the hood....then dont do the paperclip anymore and you will be good....

I tried taking out the paper clip of course, well, it'z the same, did I burn anything? I felt the paper clip was hot when it is connected. Well, I realized OEM switch = safe and neat
