reverse lights are not coming on ....any thoughts?
bulbs are good. eg has JDM tail lights but that should not matter. anyone have any ideas? wires look good. motor swap , maybe something not hooked up from that?
i had same prob... one of the connectors by the spare tire area under the hatch had come lose.. all i did was cut the wire on both sides of the connector and attached them together... and now they work.. if i had a pic of where it is i would post it... just follow the wires from the hatch to the back panel just above the spare tire area... check there.. all i did with mine was use a test light.. then i wiggled the wires and they worked.. so i had to connect them

You said your car has a motor swap right?
Was your car an automatic before the swap? If so, there is a good chance the reverse light is not connected at all.
If you car was an automatic, then there would be a plug just chillin under the radio area...
You'll have to find out which pins on that plug are for the reverse lights, and run two wires to your reverse plug on your tranny.

Yeah...you need to figure that out.
All you need to do is look under your radio (which might mean removing your lower console pieces), and look for this plug:

It's the big plug in the center. It plugs into the automatic shift unit, so that the computer will know when the car is in P, R, D, etc...
