Default Tein Coilover Overhaul

I have a set of Tein CS coilovers and the front passenger side makes a loose, shakey, rattling noise over bumps. Possibly the shock is blown? What can I do? I heard about Tein overhual where you bring it to them to rebuild. Has anyone dealt with Tein overhaul?

if the shock was "blown" it would not be making a rattling sound. i suggest you forget about an overhaul and investigate further.

i had a problem with one of mine where the seal around the shock had a minor slit in it and all the oil came out. The said that I would have to ship it to them and then they would have their engineers look at it and decide whether it was my fault or whether it was a manufacture;s problem... I live in Illinois so i asked what the downtime woulda been, he said roughly 5-6 weeks so i decided just to buy a new one.

Pretty damn quick. I've heard of people having a shock back in one weeks time. There's a fellow H-T member that works for koni (username=CRXLee) that will help you in any way possible. Koni

Nevermind the overhaul, I found out the washer and bolt on the tip of the coilover fell off! It's fixed and I'm riding on a cloud again.

I asked around and it's $75-100 for overhauling each coilover. They say it's about a week turnover. I think they're located somewhere in Downey, CA.

Even though I fixed the problem, more information about Tein overhauling would be appreciated for future reference and other members.
