Weird grinding noise coming from tranny.. HELP!
I just dropped my motor back into my car after resurfacing the flywheel and putting on a 4 puck clutch, everything was aligned and put on right.
So I started my car, everything was fine but when I tried to put it in gear, it made a loud grinding sound while releasing the clutch. At first I thought it was my axles, so I checked both axles and they were fine.
After thinking about it and asking the homies for help, I either think its my throwout bearing or input shaft bearing.. is there anyone that can help me out to determine whats wrong? thanks
edit: only grinds while releasing clutch, everythings cool while clutch is all the way down or in neutral

there is nothing wrong with your clutch.
thats a common issue with hydro tranny. look at your tranny. there is a rubber boot that protects the clutch slave cylinder (i think thats what its called). get a grease bearing, long noise plier, and long flat head screwdriver. loosen each side of the rubber by pulling it off. remember you dont have to completely need to remove it. you are only putting alot of grease inside that rubber. also dont be afraid to stick your finger inside and rub the rob cylinder. most important do not put any grease inside the tranny. if you do that will end up on your cluch. once you filled it up. it will take alot of patient to put the rubber back on and thats where the long noise plier and flat head screwdriver will come in very handy. try to have another person to keep on steppin on the clutch pedal while you work the grease around it. after couple days of driving that should do the trick. thats just a minor maintanance.
