Default throttle position sensor

I was wiring in my zex kit yesterday and i used a t-connector to hook into the tps and the car ran crappy. My guess is i cut part of the wire and it had too much resistance however i cut the wire and stripped it back and twisted it together to see if it would run correctly but my v-afc said it would only go to 97% throttle. If i solder the wires together will it fix this problem or am i screwed?

Definetly solder it up. I would never trust T taps or but connectors. Make sure that you have the correct wire as well. If I were you I would sloder it back up and make sure tha car is back to normal and everything is a go. The signal wire for the TPS that you need to tap is the red black wire. You can check it but putting a volt meter on it, it should read 4.5V fully open. ~.5V closed.
