Valve cover studs !
8x1.25 is the THREAD size of the studs right? Can I just get new ones from napa or somewhere?

well, once the VC is off you will notice that its not just a stud. It has a flanged nut in the middle of the stud.
However, if I remember correctly, that stud holds no forces other than the VC support. 4 of the studs hold the cam caps down but that doesnt.
I suppose, if you absolutely HAD to, you could use a normal stud.

So if I go to NAPA and ask them for a 8x1.25 valve cover stud for a 2000 Honda Civic Si...that will work?
I cant find my damn repair manual any where and dont want to buy a 6th one !

I called the honda dealership which is 37 miles away...sigh...They have one in stock and only ONE !

Until you can repair that,
You can take a piece of rubber hose with some RTV and slip it over
the broken stud to seal the hole temporarily..
