Ballpark....7-9K. I'm not really sure though...I know when I was pricing out everything including custom axles that was what it came out to last summer.

Well lets see....4-6k for a K20A, then at LEAST another 2-3k in parts not counting labor and dyno time......puts you pretty close unless I'm just horrible at simple math. Oh yeah, plus you'll lose AC. Might not be an issue where you live, but being an Alabama guy I kinda need mine. K sereis are AWESOME, but not for a daily driver in a place that gets over 100 degrees in teh summer.

wait with that money coming from the k, you said 7-9k well wont that be the equivilent price as a fully built b20/v that will almost have the same hp/tq as a stock k. sorry if it sounds stupid but really need to know.

that's true, but when you buy the B20 you can build it as you go along so you wont be dropping 8-9k in a short period of time.

You can have AC with a K swap, you just need someone to make lines for it.

Also, you WILL spend more than you expect on a full build, like what you would need to match the output of the K. If you look hard, you might be able to save money by going with a K20a2, instead of the K20a.

o man ok so, the k20a2 is from the type s and the k20a is from the regular right. k so if i dont go k which i really want to, im going to go h22a or just go b20/v just cause of wat you could do with the trannies fd and lsd. which one would you guys go for. they are both going to be NA.

The K20A2 is from the USDM RSX-S, and the K20A is from teh JDM Civic Type R.

The H series swap is a bit mor ecost effective than the K series, but you run into some of the same problems...though toa lesser degree.

All of this has been covered MANY times on this website. You really need to do your own homework on such a simple question.

k20a.org

if you are just a kid who just wants ot beat lal teh otehr kiddies in the parking lot why dont you just get a 1400 b16a cable tranny swap and IHE and a 50 shot and call it a day.

if you want a truly bad ride, save your money and wait till a k swap comes up for cheap. buy it. put it in your garage and buy all the parts when you have the money. then when you have everything ready to go, get all your buddies over and throw it all in. itll take you a couple weeks to totally de-bug it.

has anyone seen that company making those shifter mounting boxes that put the thing in a totally oem position in an eg or ek chassis? clean. i think its karcepts or something.

^^^^^ Yup, I've seen those kits. Bottom line is that a K swap is VERY expensive. Of course any top of the line stuff is goign to cost an arm and a leg. Personally I am enjoying th elowered cost of B series parts these days.
