Default What are compatible OEM suspension upgrades for EK hatch

For my wifes EK hatch, I would like to firm up the ride a little and
lower it no more than 1", and I'd like to use all OEM parts if possible

This is for a car that is never, ever raced in any way...so I want a mild upgrade.

Read that last sentence again before recommending your favorite race-bred products to me.

QUESTIONS:

1.) Would '00 Si springs and shocks fit? would they raise or lower the ride height?

2.) What about Del Sol springs/shocks and rear sway?

3.) What about Integra shocks/springs and rear sway?

Hmm.. I need to look up the spring rates on them...just assuming they are stiffer.

As a baseline, '96-00 EX springs are rumored to be 165f/80r progressive . . . I am not sure if a DX/CX hatch is the same or not.

They will fit, however they will raise the ride height - particularly up front. Spring rates are rumored to be ~200f/100r progressive.

They will fit, though I am not sure of the spring rates. The rear damper lower mounting forks are wider than those on the EK, so you will need to use a spacer of some sort on the mounting bolt.

Same as del Sol pieces. Spring rates are rumored to be ~200f/95r progressive, if not slightly more.

Your best bet would be a set of ITR springs. 250f linear/250r progressive, and they will lower the car approximately 1". Tein S-Techs would also be a good mild choice . . . they are rumored to be 235f/140r. H&R "OE" springs are 280f/190r. Neuspeed SofSports are 260f/150r. The Tokico Illumina "kit" springs are 250f/123r. Okay, I'm going too far

* All spring rates listed here were found at ClubSi.com; I am not at fault for any incorrect values.

Ok, one last question:

Is the 00 Si rear sway bar my only OEM option, or will others fit?

G5 Civic, G6 Civic, G3 Integra, and del Sol will all fit with the proper endlinks AFAIK, however I will advise that you use caution: The '96-00 Civic has the weakest rear subframe of all the double-wishbone Civic/CRX/Integra/delSol cars, because Honda - in a moment of sheer brilliance - decided to place the sway bar mounts outboard of the LCA pivot where there is less metal to prevent subframe tear-out. Even with a Beaks kit, the ITR rear bar has been known to tear the subframe. The A-Spec Racing subframe brace is a necessity, IMHO, when using anything larger than the 13mm Si/LS or 14mm GS-R bars.

I'm just after the Si-sized bar. Thanks again for the tips, Targa!
